Guangzho, China – the last step in the process

We are now in Guangzhou, China.  This is where the  U.S. Consulate Office is located.  We’ll be getting Ava’s visa here to get through customs when we arrive in the states.  Once we get those little feet on U.S. soil, she becomes a United States citizen!

Today, we did some shopping.  First we went to a small shop looking for Jade.  For Ava, the biggest hit of all were the goldfish in the pond.

After the Jade shop, it was on to the mall, where one entire floor (out of 5) was dedicated to beads and pearls.  Of course, we weren’t the least bit interested in beads.  We headed straight for the pearl shop.

It’s time for bed now, we’ll post more tomorrow.

Awesome pictures, I really enjoyed sharing in your experience. I couldn’t help but LOL when you commented on the driving and the traffic! I have heard that from others that have traveled to China. I also thought of how nice it is that the Chinese people are so happy that one of their children is going to be loved and cared for in the U.S. God Bless and have a safe trip home!
