Every day is a little better

Just a few days ago, when we met Ava for the first time, she was terrified of the bath tub.  Julie had to wash her down with a wash cloth and that was still a bit stressful.  Today, Ava is comfortably taking a bath and every day she seems to be getting more and more relaxed with us.

We are working to get packed and ready for our flight to Guangzhou.  We just received Ava’s passport, so we have completed all of our paperwork in Nanchang.

There is a bit of sadness with today, as this will likely be the last day for Ava in her “home town”.  Maybe someday we’ll get back to Nanchang, but it’s likely that this will be our first and last visit.  We have pictures and memories that will last forever.

She looks like she is very happy!
I was at Sue and Leroys this morning to see the kids. Ava better enjoy that nice calm bath now because her life is about to be turned up a notch. She will love the kids just like she is loving being with you two.
She look more at peace everyday. Thank for taking the time to share this with all of us. God Bless.

Well she looks like she is doing very well. I do believe that you are all celebrities. Everybody I run into say they have been following your adventure on the blog. This has been so helpful and amazing for Jack and Lauren as well as Granny and Papaw. You are all in our prayers for a safe and uneventful trip home. Love to all!! Mom
