China. . .here we come! Well, almost
For some time now, we’ve been talking about adopting a child from China. But when the new restrictions came about, we weren’t sure that we would be accepted. Every day we would read of more and more families being rejected because of the new restrictions.
A couple of weeks ago, we finally finished up our application and sent it in – hoping for the best. We got the phone call today informing us that we had been accepted. We are elated and relieved. So now we begin our journey of paperwork and interviews. Later this week we will be talking with our agency (FTIA) about our dossier.
Right now it looks like the process could take anywhere from 18-24 months to complete and I’ll try to keep the blog up to date with our progress.
That’s all for now. . .
